How does the SailCaddy System work?

Unlike complicated Lazy-Jack systems, expensive In-Mast furling, and obtrusive flaking "pack" type enclosure systems, SailCaddy incorporates a unique fold-away capture device for containing lowered or reefed mainsails.  The SailCaddy system can be deployed and retracted in seconds...most importantly from the safety of the cockpit.  Reefing short-handed or while on-watch is greatly simplified. When not in use, the system folds snugly and discretely against the boom....what could be simpler?

Why is the SailCaddy System better than other Mainsail devices?

The SailCaddy System virtually eliminates sail chafe and added windage aloft produced by conventional Lazy-Jack and Dutchmen systems...not to mention the problem of hooked battens on the way up!!  There is no messing around making adjustments to control leads and sheets.

Certainly In-Mast furling is simple, but the cost associated with new spars and sail re-cuts makes it an unrealistic option for the majority of budget minded Sailors....particularly as an upgrade to an older boat.

Compare the cost of other devices, then compare them to the SailCaddy System.

How is the SailCaddy System installed?

Installation is easy and is completed in a few hours with hand and regular power tools.  Your SailCaddy kit comes complete with full DIY instructions, all components and hardware specifically sized for your Yacht.  The system can be installed on-board or more preferably on shore with the boom removed.  Best yet... there is no need to go aloft or step your mast.

Do I have to modify by mainsail and sail cover?

The simplicity of the SailCaddy System is evident after installation is complete.  There are NO sail modifications required and as equally important, NO sail cover modifications.  Take a look around the marina ....what good is a sail cover that's lined with access cuts for lines and leads?  Your existing sail cover is easily installed directly over your main sail and SailCaddy's unique fold-away design.

What about performance and trimming requirements?

An excellent question...Performance compromises such as added trimming requirements, chafe, and  additional control sheets are never welcomed by the time conscious Racer.  In most cases, they'll surrender convenience and safety to gain any edge on the course.  SailCaddy has been designed with this in mind, and can be deployed and retracted from the cockpit in seconds.

What about a Money Back Guarantee and Warranty?

The SailCaddy System comes with a 30 day money back guarantee (less return shipping) and a 1 Year unlimited warranty on all components.  If any SailCaddy unit becomes defective during the applicable warranty period, SailCaddy Systems will repair or replace such product or component without charge.  Labour or installation charges are the responsibility of the Purchaser.  This warranty does not cover damage from shipping, abuse, improper installation, or modification.
